Glenda La Rue, La-rue.10@osu.edu, I am the Director of the Women in Engineering Program at The Ohio State University. I run programs to encourage young women from elementary through high school to pursue enginering as a career. Once these young women are here at OSU, I offer special programs, networking opportunities and scholarships to help them succeed in engineering. I grew up in Virginia and attended Virginia Tech, where I received a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, with a concentration in hydrosystems. I have 10+ years of experience working as a civil engineer, where my primary job was to help property owners solve their flooding problems. I have been with OSU for just under a year and love my job because it allows me to share my enthusiasm about the field of engineering. Megan Moses , mosesmiami@yahoo.com, I am the Manager of Environmental Stewardship and Government Affairs for The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company. Before I joined Scotts, I was Program and Outreach Director for the Environmental Molecular Science Institute (EMSI) at The Ohio State University. Both jobs have been very enjoyable for me because they enable me to communicate with and teach many people about science and the environment. I have always lived in Columbus, Ohio (OH) except when I went to Miami University (MU), Oxford, OH. At MU I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and focused my research in Science Education under the tutelage of Dr. Jerry Sarquis. MU offered me the opportunity to join their graduate business program and work as a graduate assistant for the Center for Sustainable Systems Studies. I earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) focusing in Marketing and Management. Since obtaining my MBA, I have earned a degree in Accounting from Franklin University, Columbus, OH.
